Lucky Number 7
It’s funny; I remember growing up and always hearing my folks and other adults around me always talking about how time flies so fast. How next thing you know, it’s like bam, the days and years are just memories. Then one day you realize, man them grown folks were right, time does go by fast.
As we can all probably relate, life moves at mach 5 speeds and only seems to go faster as the days pass. We get so consumed by our daily rituals that we often never stop, to think, or even appreciate the simplicities around us. What we wanted yesterday has changed into what we need to do today. Our daily tasks start to pile up, and it feels like things will never get done.
As a victim of the speed of life, I realized that the things I wanted and enjoyed doing were getting pushed further and further down the to-do list. I was finding myself constantly thinking “I wish I had time to do that”. Well my friends, the Muse has talked to me, and the itch has gone long enough. It’s time to scratch it. “Ficky Icky Raaah!”
I have always wanted to redo the website for quite some time now. In the past year, I came to realize that if I don’t do it now, it’ll never get done. So I decided that it was time to sit down and kick myself in the ass and do it. With some long coffee shops hours at Filter, late nights at the office, and zoning out at the computer screen at home, we now have a extremely early version 7 of www.djvudo.com. Yes, there were 6 previous ones!
My vision for the new website is to create a place that allows me share with the world one of my deepest passion; music. My little corner in cyberspace that allows me to talk about music I enjoy, sounds I like to hear, and most importantly the music I make; to everyone on planet earth and Zectar.
Along with the music; I’ll also be adding pictures, videos, and other random tidbits here and there. So join me as I jump start a new life into www.djvudo.com and open up the vault again. Filling it with awesomeness and creating a place where everyone can share stories, communicate with friends, reminisce about the good times, and most importantly enjoy some good music.
As the music and website is a work in progress, I’d love to hear what you think. Suggestions to making the website better, how crummy my grammar is, and anything you want to say. Drop me a message or leave a comment.
Thanks to all of my family, friends, and fans for all the years of supporting my habit. The journey starts again.
